Hypnotherapy for the Menopause
These sessions combine hypnotherapy and reflexology to help with menopausal symptoms, to enhance quality of life and enabled you to feel empowered.

Technically the term "menopause" refers to the end of menstruation. However, in reality most women see the menopause as a transitional period. Studies show that women in the UK can experience menopausal symptoms for up to 14 years! During this time, some women may experience a number of unwanted symptoms:-
Heavier or more irregular periods
Hot flushes/Night Sweats
Changes to libido and appetite
Not surprisingly these changes can be difficult to live with.
Of course each woman’s experience of the menopause will be unique.
My clients often tell me that they feel they have lost their way, that their sense of personal identity is changing and they would like help in regaining their confidence.
Self-care plays a vital part, and it makes sense to look after your health and manage your symptoms. In order to support you through this time, we look at what is best to eat, what is best to avoid and implement positive ways of thinking and coping strategies.
A research by the BMC has demonstrated hypnosis can significantly reduce hot flashes (see 3 below for reference). Other studies have found that women with hot flushes and night sweats who practiced Mindfulness felt less bothered by their symptoms, less stressed, and slept better than their colleagues who had not used Mindfulness. Reflexology can also be incorporated in your sessions, to help aid relaxation, improve well-being, ease stresses. balance hormones and help you to cope better. Reflexology can also help with hot flushes, sleep and anxiety (2). PLEASE NOTE: many of these symptoms listed can also be attributed to other things. So it would be wrong to automatically assume that just because you are of a certain age ‘it must be the menopause". always check with your GP first
